Legal
Returns & refunds.
If a piece is not right, you can send it back. This page sets out your legal right to cancel, how to start a return, the condition garments need to be in, and when your money reaches you.
Your right to change your mind
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel an order for any reason, without giving a reason, within 14 days of the day you receive it. Where an order arrives in several parcels, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.
- Tell us within
- 14 days of receiving your order.
- Send it back within
- 14 days of telling us you are cancelling.
- Refunded within
- 14 days of us receiving the garment back, or of you showing proof that you sent it.
How to start a return
- Write to our contact page with your order number and the pieces you are returning.
- We confirm the return and give you the address to send it to.
- Pack the garment with its tags and any packaging, and send it with a tracked service — proof of posting protects you until it reaches us.
The condition we need items in
You are welcome to try a garment on as you would in a fitting room. Please do not wear, wash or alter it. If the value of an item is reduced because it has been handled more than was necessary to check its fit and condition, we may deduct that reduction from your refund.
Garments returned with tags removed, marked, scented or showing signs of wear fall into that category. White fabric shows everything, so a little care here protects both of us.
Who pays the postage
- Changed your mind: the cost of returning the item is yours, unless we say otherwise for a particular order.
- Faulty, damaged or not what you ordered: we pay the return postage, and you are never out of pocket.
- On a cancelled order we refund the standard delivery charge you originally paid. If you chose a faster, more expensive option we refund the standard rate.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 14 days of the garment reaching us or of you providing proof of posting — whichever is sooner. Your bank may take a further few working days to show the money. We will email you when the refund is issued.
Faulty or incorrect items
If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in addition to the cancellation right above: a full refund if you reject it within 30 days of delivery, and after that a repair or replacement, or a partial refund where that is not possible. Send us a photograph with your message and we will arrange it.
Exchanges
For a different size or a different piece, return the original for a refund and place a new order. That way the size you want is held for you rather than depending on what is left when your parcel arrives back with us.
What cannot be returned
The cancellation right does not apply to items made or personalised to your specification, to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for hygiene reasons once unsealed, or to gift cards. Where an item falls into one of these categories it is stated clearly on its product page before you buy. None of this affects your rights if an item is faulty.
Still unsure?
Ask before you send anything back — write to our contact page or use our contact page. We would rather help you keep a piece you love than process a return.
