My Store

Legal

Terms of sale.

These terms set out how we sell to you: how an order becomes a contract, what you pay, when your pieces arrive, and what happens if something is wrong. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. These terms

These terms apply to every order placed with My Store through this website. By placing an order you accept them, so please read them first. Our company details are on the Legal Notice page.

We sell to consumers aged 18 or over. If you are buying in the course of a business, the consumer protections described below do not apply to you.

2. How a contract is formed

  • Placing an order is an offer to buy. The order confirmation we email you acknowledges that we received it — it is not yet acceptance.
  • A contract exists only when we email you to say your order has been dispatched, and covers the items in that dispatch.
  • If we cannot accept your order — stock has run out, we cannot authorise payment, we spot a pricing error or we cannot deliver to your address — we will tell you and refund anything already taken.

3. Products

Our garments are made from natural fibres. Photographs and descriptions are as accurate as we can make them, but colour can vary slightly between screens, and small irregularities in weave, slub and tone are characteristics of linen and organic cotton rather than faults.

Measurements and fabric details shown on a product page are approximate and are given to help you choose a size. Care instructions are shown on each product page and on the garment label.

4. Price and payment

  • Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is charged separately and is shown before you pay.
  • The price you pay is the one displayed when you place your order, except where there is an obvious pricing error — in that case we will contact you before dispatch and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel.
  • Payment is taken at the time of order through our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
  • If your delivery address is outside the United Kingdom, import duties or taxes may be charged on arrival and are your responsibility.

5. Delivery

Delivery options, costs and estimated times appear at checkout once your address is entered. Unless we agree a different date with you, we deliver within 30 days of the day the contract is formed. Full details are on our Delivery page.

Your order becomes your responsibility once it is delivered to the address you gave us. Ownership passes to you when we have received payment in full.

6. Cancelling and returning

You have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days of receiving your order, and further rights if an item is faulty or not as described. How to exercise them, and how refunds are paid, is set out in our Returns & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. If something is wrong with your order

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the garments we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you have the right to reject them within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, and after that to a repair or replacement, or a price reduction if that is not possible. We pay the return postage on faulty or incorrectly supplied items.

8. Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend an account that is being used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

9. Our website and content

The text, photography, design and branding on this site belong to us or our licensors. You are welcome to browse, share links and print pages for your own use; you may not copy our images or copy for commercial purposes without our written permission.

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we may change products, prices or content, and occasionally take the site down for maintenance.

10. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for business losses, since we supply our products for private use.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11. Events outside our control

If something beyond our reasonable control delays your order — severe weather, carrier disruption, supply failure — we will contact you as soon as we can. If the delay is substantial you may cancel the affected items and we will refund you in full.

12. Complaints and governing law

If something has gone wrong, write to our contact page and we will work with you to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you can bring proceedings in the courts of your own country.

We may update these terms; the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
